If you’re a woman with an interest in fashion, you likely have several pairs of jeans in your wardrobe arsenal. Jeans are the perfect staple for any female because they are available in numerous cuts, colors and styles. No matter what body shape you have, a high quality pair of jeans will accentuate your contours. Womens jeans range from casual and modest to chic and sophisticated.

One of the most popular styles of modern-day jeans are

jeggings. These skinny jeans fit snuggly from hip to ankle, which creates a slimming silhouette. Jeggings come in a variety of colors, and many styles have a vintage look. Some skinny jeans may be cropped while others may have extra long lengths. When paired with boots and long shirts, these stylish jeans can give any female supermodel status.

Another common style is the straight-leg jean. This classic version is ideal for someone who wants a straight cut from the hips to the ankles. A straighter cut provides a more casual aesthetic, but these jeans can be dressed up as well. Many styles come with cuffed ankles, giving the jeans a vintage look without appearing dated. Straight-leg jeans often have a softer feel than other varieties, and they may have rips or frayed hems.

Many women opt for boot-cut or flared jeans, which are cut straight from hip to thigh, but they flare at the ankle. Boot-cut jeans have less room at the ankle than the flared counterpart. Both styles can be comfortable and roomy, and they each may be worn for everyday activities or nights out on the town. While this style of jean has taken a backseat for other trendier versions, the flared cut gives women a retro option.

Womens jeans are designed to flatter and enhance the female shape. Your options are plentiful, and you can mix and match your preferences. Pair a high-rise waist with a flared cut to visually elongate the legs, or select a low-waisted jegging to show off your curves. Regardless of which style you choose, you should wear what best represents your unique personality and image.

There are many options when deciding on a vintage fashion look and one of the most sought after looks is vintage retro. In vintage clothing, retro style describes a trend in fashion of at least 15 to 20 years in the past. Wearing vintage retro highlights a return to a past fashion idea during the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Wearing retro vintage clothing does not necessarily mean you have to retrieve everything from the past decades. Although they may look more authentic if they were created back then, vintage retro fashion may also include modern versions or remakes of vintage garments. Some people combine both retro and modern pieces to make it look more original and current. Because of its popularity, retro vintage fashion has become a big business for vintage stores and top designers.

Creating your own retro look requires focus and an open-mind. You have to be fearless to step out of comfort zone in fashion. One effective way of creating a good look is by finding a muse for your vintage fashion. First, you have to decide on an era that inspires you. You should also choose on particular vintage clothing that flatters your body type and features. Creating your vintage retro wardrobe demands you to have knowledge about the different retro era styles and the people who made those looks popular. You may conduct your research by watching old films like Grease and Annie Hall. You may also discover retro fashion with the likes of Katherine Hepburn who was hugely popular in the retro era. If you are into music, try discovering artists like Madonna, Blondie, and Cindy Lauper. Let your muse inspire you.

After deciding on your retro look, you will have to find ways on how to get vintage items and garments. If you have made a collection of photos, hiring a tailor to create your vintage clothing can be a very good option. You can find shops online like Coal N Terri Vintage that creates custom-made vintage clothes. Having your clothes custom made can give you a more defined retro look. If you want something authentic, you may find vintage garments at vintage fashion shops and thrift shops. However, finding the right fit can be a huge challenge since they only come in limited sizes. Other good places to source retro clothes are garage and estate sales. Vintage clothes from these types of stores are cheaper compared to vintage shops and designers.

Today, retro styles and vintage clothing are cool and fashionable. They no longer are something you would be ashamed of wearing in a normal day. The key to getting the perfect retro vintage look is creativity, patience, and persistence. To get that ultimate retro look, shop everywhere. Do not limit yourself at specific places that sells vintage fashion items. There are many people like you passionate about vintage fashion. You can find many vintage goodies outside vintage stores. Create your own style by visiting all possible shops that sells anything old. Use flea markets, resale shops, and garage sales to find vintage collectibles.

In these times of austerity and pulling your big boy pants in, it is no wonder that we are turning to our old habits of years gone by when it comes to our beauty and hair care routines. We seem to worry more about how we look but have less time and money than we used to, surely we can find ways around this though?

When I was younger it was commonplace to have a mobile hairdresser visit your home once every few weeks, I do not know how or why this went out of fashion, but it sadly did. After a good few years of having to make that effort at the hairdressers, full of self conscious ladies trying to build up a rapport with someone they may have nothing in common with, I decided to find a mobile hairdresser. One of the main reasons I chose to have my hair styled in this way is because I get appointments to fit in with my lifestyle and I do not have to worry about booking an afternoon off work or wasting a big chunk of my weekend sitting in a hair salon or even getting spruced up to just sit in a chair.

So the upsides of a mobile hairdresser, of course, the main reason I love having a mobile stylist is the convenience, you may even want to wear your pyjamas whilst having your hair cut and this is never a bad thing! Another pro is having more confidence to say what you do and do not want doing to your hair, it is much easier to be confident within your own surroundings than in a place you aren’t really used to or feel that comfortable in. Of course one of the deciding factors of having a mobile stylist is the price and the fact that they will not have to pay overheads, which will then pass on to the customer. But do note that you may need to provide a mirror and sufficient space for your stylist to move around as they will have to carry their equipment around with them.

For those of you thinking about hiring a mobile stylist, stop thinking about it and take the plunge. It is better on your bank balance for a start and you can fit it around your schedule instead of having to worry about taking an afternoon off work or picking the kids up from school. Another major plus point of having a mobile stylist is the fact that your hairdresser will no doubt be in higher spirits, with no boss to dictate what products are to be used or being tied down to certain hours this leaves more freedom for both the stylist and the client, this can only be a good thing.
